After carrying out community consultation in early 2025, the final design for the proposed community Playground and Park project was made and planning permission was obtained. This will be located on the plot of land which is owned by the community between the school and the old theatre. Detailed design drawings, a planting plan and a bill of quantities was produced also. A sincere thank you to Galway County Council for funding received during 2025 through the Community Support Scheme. We received a total of €4,000 across a number of categories, to fund a picnic table in the square made from recycled materials, upgraded Christmas lighting, additional stage lighting for Eyrecourt Hall and Event Centre, and some group music tuition.

The AGM for Eyrecourt Development Group will be held on the 13th of January, 2026 in Eyrecourt Hall and Event Centre at 9pm.
